The Ampère Software Technology (Renault Group) and SCALE at the EUCAR Conference!

The EUCAR Conference attracted around 100 participants. Yves Page and Stéphane Gerne (Renault Group) presented the objectives and features of the “Local Hazards” innovation project, as well as a prototype.


In addition to the presentations and roundtable discussion, the annual EUCAR conference also serves as an opportunity to showcase innovative vehicles and present innovation projects supported by EUCAR and funded by the European Commission. This year, the Hidrive project exhibited about fifteen vehicles used during the project. Ampère Software Technology (Renault Group) also participated in the exhibition with a booth dedicated to its “Local Hazards” innovation project, which is one of SCALE’s use cases focusing on hazardous situations.


The SCALE project aims to remove the remaining barriers to the deployment and industrialization of connected and intelligent transportation systems (C-ITS). One of its major objectives is to develop new services, or use cases, designed to improve traffic flow, enhance safety, and facilitate access to traffic information for all users.
Participation in the annual EUCAR conference therefore provided an opportunity to present the project to European automakers, EUCAR members, and key players in this transformation.

SCALE’s ambitions are fully aligned with those of EUCAR: to encourage innovation, promote interoperability, and accelerate the deployment of connected mobility solutions on a European scale. The presence of partners involved in the SCALE project at this event is thus part of a consistent effort to strengthen ties with industry players, who are essential partners for ensuring the large-scale transition to C-ITS.

Emilie Petit and Viktoriia Atavina (Cerema) rounded out the presentation by highlighting key elements of the CINEA-funded SCALE project: the broader ecosystem and C-ITS services at the heart of the initiative. Several demonstration videos playing in the background helped bring the project to life and sparked a steady stream of questions.

The “Local Hazards” innovation project, like SCALE, generated significant interest among participants. Discussions focused particularly on technical challenges (types of messages, transmission mechanisms, HLN data), as well as on the richness of the partner ecosystem.

The diversity of expertise represented within the consortium, both in terms of professions and sectors, clearly enhanced the credibility and appeal of both projects.

One thing is certain: momentum around SCALE is building rapidly… and this is just the beginning.
