Graz is the Austrian pilot site in SCALE and focuses on traffic light optimisation, especially for public transport. Intelligent systems will be implemented to improve traffic flow and reduce waiting times at traffic lights, making urban travel smoother and more efficient. Thanks to the use of predictive technologies, it will be possible to adapt waiting times according to traffic volumes in real time, favouring buses and trams at peak times. This will enable more sustainable mobility and a reduction in emissions due to traffic jams.
