This pilot site represents a nerve centre for testing hybrid communication technologies between vehicles and road infrastructure.
Mature use cases will be deployed on the national road network. OBU and RSU will be deployed in Ile-De-France to increase the existing C-ITS coverage, initiated during SCOOP, C-ROADS and INDID projects. 
New use cases of communication, based on vehicle detection and enhanced by service provider additional services will be developed and tested.
Connected vehicles capable of real-time detection will be developed, improving traffic management and road safety. 
This site will identify use cases for which it is valuable and feasible to run services close to the data source, propose a design for the corresponding edge architecture, and assess the environmental benefits of such edge architecture. The site will also identify use cases for which it is valuable and feasible to run services in the cloud, and to rely on service providers.
