This site focuses on safety in critical infrastructures, such as road tunnels and the protection of Road Operator interventions. Communication devices will be installed to warn drivers at an early stage of possible dangers, such as fires, stalled or slow driving véhicules. These technologies will help improve emergency management in tunnels and reduce the risk of serious accidents. The site aims to demonstrate the high added value of I2V connectivity for Connected Vehicles and CAVs driving in a tunnel. It will also demonstrate the added value of connectivity between the vans of the Road Operators in intervention and CAVs in order to improve the safety of these interventions everywhere on the road network.
